52 if your child is cared for all year (nanny's paid leave included).
Time agreed in the contract when the nanny can attend to her own business while staying alert (nap time, for example): 1 hour counts as 2/3 of an hour.

Your typical week

—hours per week
—days of care
—hours per month (averaged)
—net salary per month

Monthly salary (“mensualisation”) = hours per week × weeks per year ÷ 12 × hourly rate. The same amount is paid every month, even in holiday months. If the year is not full (under 52 weeks), paid leave is added on top (about 10%, included here).

What about breaks? With a childminder there is no break to deduct: every hour your child is in her care is paid, from the agreed arrival time to the agreed departure time, or later if you pick your child up late. Naps and meals are working time too.
What about breaks? With a home nanny, a break is unpaid only if she is genuinely free: you are home, or your child is at school or with someone else. If she is alone with your child, even during the nap, it is working time. Nap time can be agreed in the contract as “responsible presence”: 1 hour counts as 2/3 of an hour.
